Unboxing Your Trezor

Setting Up Your Trezor

Creating a New Wallet

  1. Generate a Recovery Seed: During the initialization, Trezor will generate a 12 or 24-word recovery seed. This seed is crucial for recovering your wallet if your Trezor device is lost or damaged. Write down the seed words in the exact order provided on the recovery seed card and store it in a secure location.

  2. Confirm the Seed: Trezor will ask you to confirm the recovery seed by selecting the words in the correct order. This step ensures you have accurately recorded the seed.

  3. Set a PIN: Choose a strong PIN for your Trezor device. The PIN adds an extra layer of security, preventing unauthorized access.

Recovering an Existing Wallet

If you already have a Trezor wallet and need to recover it:

  1. Select Recover Wallet: On the initialization screen, select the option to recover an existing wallet.
